Director Application!
Want to be a part of the WBCR Board of Directors?
It's an all-student group devoted to keeping Beloit College radio alive and kicking.
The positions we need to fill:
New Music, Hip Hop, RPM, Metal/Loud Rock, Jazz, World, Public Affairs, Asst. Public Affairs, Web, Promotions.

Webstream Up and Improved
Hey guys,
Had some issues with the webstream and the screamer radio recorder from people misusing it/changing settings. HOWEVER. I fixed it and put some safeguards on it so that it hopefully won't happen again. Just remember in the station to
1. Always have winamp open (you can check if the stream is up at http://belcon.beloit.edu:8000/)
2. Don't play files/songs with winamp always open them in itunes/windows media
3. If screamer is open you don't have to open it again, just click the little yellow circle in the toolbox. And delete your ripped show off the desktop once you save it on a flash drive right away.
Here is the other news: The webstream has been pumped up from 64kbs Mono to 128kbs STEREO. Yeah so you'll get mp3 quality online instead of it sounding like an old speaker like it used to. I'm testing this out, I don't know if it will affect connection time for some people but so far its been working great.
I put the guide to record your show on the desktop of the station computer as well.
